The Right Reverend Sam Rodman- The Right Reverend Sam Rodman will be with us on Sunday, January 21, 2024, for his annual visit. The last time he visited was right in the middle of the Covid pandemic. At that time, we weren't even having in-person services. He and I administered the sacrament in the parking lot that day. Fortunately for us, the pandemic isn't as restrictive this time. You are all invited and encouraged to attend on the 21. Bishop Sam will be available to baptize, confirm or receive anyone interested in becoming members of The Episcopal Church and St. Barnabas. If you know any others who might be interested in learning more about The Episcopal Church, please invite them.
Sacristy Dress-up - Our friend, Walter Pineda, replaced the flooring in the Sacristy this week. It was done to match the flooring in the nursery and toddler room. Please tell him thanks when you see him. Next up: We still need some painting volunteers for the bathroom, and, now, the Sacristy. We'd hate to have to pay for that. It's pretty standard stuff. Please consider coming for a "Paint Day" in the near future.
New Burial in All Souls - Thomas Joseph was buried in All Souls Burial Ground on Friday. Thomas was only 50 years old. He died after a severe asthma attack. He and his family are members of the Syriac Orthodox Church. Please keep Thomas and his family in your prayers.
Vestry meeting - Our monthly Vestry meeting has been moved from January 18 to January 11 at 7pm.
“Please Note” is the weekly diocesan news email. If you would like to receive it, go to “episdionc.org”, scroll to bottom, and you will find a link to sign-up for it.
All Souls Burial Ground is looking for volunteers to help with maintenance and\or burials. If you would like to be a part of this wonderful work, please let Randall know. If you haven’t had a chance yet, consider taking a walk through the Ground. Understand that it is a work in progress. We welcome all walkers, both 2 and four legged ones.
New Name Tags are on the racks in the foyer. If yours is not on there or there is a misspelling, please forgive us. Talk to Randall or send Katie an email at stbarnabasgreensboro@gmail.com.
